After our date night tonight, Mr. Ringmaster dropped me off at home and took the Aristocrat (aka, Clarence) to fetch the Peanut from the baby-sitter's house. For a brief period, I had the house completely and wonderfully empty and all to myself. Let me repeat that . . . .All. To. Myself.
What was my first thought regarding this unexpected free time? Not, "Woohoo, I have some time to read another chapter of my book!" or "Yay, I can finish watching Project Runway now!" No. Nothing of the sort even entered my mind.
My first thought was, "Hey, I can brush my teeth for a full two minutes tonight!"
Pathetic. Very pathetic.

I don't think it is pathetic. I asked for, and received, a new Sonicare toothbrush for my birthday. Tooth-brushing is very important!
And I would have flossed.
(I've been contemplating a post about how much I love flossing. That's probably more pathetic than brushing!)
That is a bit pathetic. I would've run to bed and got to sleep quickly. But hey, atleast you get a date night so you are one up on me.
Oddly, my first thought would have been "[n]ow I can sit on the toilet without the masses banging on the door or trying to ask questions through it." Motherhood sure makes you appreciate odd things!
